  • Added Penance, the first proper chapter of The Valkyrie Program.

  • Spruced up The Valkyrie Program to look a lot more like its own thing!
  • Added a table of contents for Third Surface (AKA the first story arc)
  • The first chapter of The Valkyrie Program, Cato's Shore, is close to completion! I only have a couple more pages to write before I pass it off to some beta readers who'll give some feedback. However long it takes after that will depend entirely on whether or not they like it, and what they say should be different.
  • Added buttons for proto_P, ☉Kud, and Walrus Island.

    I've made a number of changes since last Wednesday, so I'll just go down the list of everything I've done since then in chronologic order... as I remember it.

  • Added the prelude to The Valkyrie Program.
  • Added my latest signature to the Agora Road gallery.
  • Added an <hr> class that makes it white, that way they aren't off-color on Physnet.
  • Made a "contents" button for story pages:
  • Recolored the borders to be more in line with the background's color scheme...
  • ...which required another color change of the <hr> property.

  • Implemented the splash screen.
  • Added "back" buttons to each story in Sex with Seraphim and Castles so readers can go back to the contents easier. I plan to do this to all of Vignettober 2024's entries next week, and probably change how the button looks. We'll see.
  • Finally figured out how to make the <hr> property match the color of the borders.

  • Changed the images on the Stories and Gallery pages so that users can actually see the links without having to scroll. Frankly, I should have done this much sooner.
  • Added a couple userbars to the Stuff for Agora Road page.
  • Thinking about adding a splash page... I already have the assets for it and I have the .html file on my PC. The only -- and I mean only thing holding me back is the fact that I would need to change so many links that lead to the index... Maybe I ought to take a look at how many there are around the site so I can prepare myself.

  • Finally updated the blog with something I had written a long-ass time ago, but never got around to publishing. Hopefully one or two people actually read it before it's overshadowed by my annual Christmas letter.
  • Vignettober has been moved to the "Collections" section, as it's now completed! Not particularly proud of these as overall works, but then it took less than an hour to write each one, so it's not like I was holding out hope for prophetic visions.
  • Changed the borders for the main boxes and the link list at the top of each page. I plan to recolor them to fit in with the background's color scheme.

  • Added Vignettober to the stories page
  • Also added everything I've written from 02 Oct to today. Expect daily updates; don't expect this page to log every single one unless there's something major besides the stories I've added.
  • Oh yeah, and I shifted a few things from "Ongoing" to "Discontinued." That doesn't mean I'm done with these things for good, just that they're not on my priority list anymore (or haven't been for a while).

  • Animated the backgrounds! I've been on the fence about doing this for a while, as I was afraid it would detract from the actual contents of the pages, but now that I have it done, I'm wishing that I'd done this sooner. I was iffy on animating the bottom portion as well, since the frames for that are a lot busier than the frames for the top of the page, so I decided to animate them only for the longer pages and not the short ones. This way, it's a bit of a reward for viewers who read through the contents of a page... or at least scroll to the bottom.
    Oh, and for those of you who were wondering, I stole the background from Streets of Rage.

  • Made a few edits to the Physnet's text to have a more consistent, formal tone. Also one of the NeoCities Districts was described as being in the Northwest when it was actually in the Northeast, and that's been bugging me for the longest time.
  • Also I made a trading card for B4rkod!
  • Not to mention a web button on the main page... I'll make that "other sites" page eventually...
